Miami County, KS has launched their Shop Local business directory on Bludot Open!
Bludot Open is a light-weight platform that helps communities promote their local businesses in a public-facing site. Miami County's launch comes just in time for the holidays to help the local businesses promote their services digitally, free of charge to the business owners. The Miami County Economic Development Department works across the County with four chambers of commerce to enhance the county's local economy, and we are thrilled to be able to partner with the department to offer this tool to the community.
Miami County is also a participant of Bludot's USDA sponsored rural economic development study. Earlier this year, Bludot received an SBIR Phase 1 grant from USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture to offer its tools to participating rural communities at no cost during the study period and gather feedback, which will be critical to help us improve the functionalities in a way that empowers rural economic developers.
