Bludot Technologies LLC (“Bludot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides software for local governments and economic development organizations, including Bludot CRM and Bludot Business Directory.


This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, share, and protect information in connection with our website, services, and software platform.


1. Who this policy is for


This policy is intended for Bludot customers, prospective customers, authorized platform users, website visitors, procurement teams, legal teams, and other individuals who interact with Bludot or use our services.


Bludot is a business-to-business software provider. Our services are not intended for children.


2. Information we collect


Bludot may collect and process the following types of information in order to provide the services.


Customer account data
This may include name, email address, title, organization, login-related information, user ID, authentication records, and related account information.

 

Business profile data
This may include business name, address, contact information, industry, employee count, business status, notes, and related business details.


CRM activity data
This may include emails, calls, meetings, tasks, projects, assistance requests, internal notes, and other activity records created or managed by customers in the platform.


Form and survey submissions
This may include business intake forms, BR&E surveys, custom forms, and other information submitted through forms or surveys created by customers.


Uploaded or imported customer data
This may include spreadsheets, licensing records, business lists, third-party datasets, and other files or records provided to Bludot by customers or imported into the platform.


Integration data
If a customer enables an integration, Bludot may process data made available through that integration, including data from systems such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 / Outlook, GIS tools, email integration providers, APIs, or other customer-enabled systems.


Website and marketing data
This may include information submitted through website forms, demo requests, contact forms, email communications, event registrations, webinar registrations, and similar interactions. We may also collect basic website usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages visited, and similar analytics data.


Bludot may receive data directly from customers, from authorized users, from website visitors, from customer-enabled integrations, or from Bludot’s data partners.


3. How we use information


Bludot uses information to provide, operate, support, secure, and improve the services for our customers.


This includes using information to:

  • Provide access to Bludot CRM and Bludot Business Directory

  • Create, manage, update, and organize business records

  • Support customer workflows, including CRM activity, forms, surveys, projects, reporting, and directory management

  • Import, clean, structure, and maintain customer data

  • Provide onboarding, customer support, troubleshooting, and account management

  • Maintain platform security, reliability, backups, and availability

  • Communicate with customers and prospective customers about the services

  • Respond to inquiries, demo requests, support requests, and other communications

  • Comply with legal, contractual, and operational obligations

 

Bludot does not sell customer data.

Bludot does not use customer data for unrelated advertising or consumer marketing.

 

Bludot does not independently act on customer data. Customer data is used to support the customer’s day-to-day business operations within the Bludot platform.

 

4. Customer ownership and responsibility

 

Customers own their Customer Data.

 

Bludot’s Terms and Conditions state that Customer owns all right, title, and interest in and to Customer Data. The Terms also state that Bludot owns the services, software, technology, and related intellectual property used to provide the platform.

 

Customers are responsible for determining what information they collect, import, or maintain in the platform and for providing any notices or obtaining any consents required by applicable law.

 

5. How we share information

 

Bludot does not share customer data with third parties for independent use.

 

Bludot may use service providers and infrastructure vendors as necessary to provide the platform, host the services, maintain security, provide support, operate the business, or support customer-enabled functionality. These providers may include hosting and infrastructure providers, email and integration providers, support and monitoring tools, analytics tools, and business data providers used to support the Bludot Business Database.

 

These providers are used only to support Bludot’s services and are not permitted to use customer data for their own purposes.

 

Bludot may use authorized personnel, contractors, or service providers located outside the United States to provide support, maintenance, troubleshooting, engineering, or operational services. Where applicable, access is limited to what is necessary to provide and support the services.

 

Bludot may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.

 

6. Cookies and analytics

 

Bludot may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate our website and services, understand usage, improve performance, support security, and improve the user experience.

 

Users may be able to control cookies through their browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the website or services.

 

7. Security

 

Bludot maintains administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect customer data and support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the platform.

 

Bludot’s security program includes controls related to hosting, access management, encryption, backups, monitoring, incident response, and ongoing platform operations.

8. Data retention and deletion

 

Customers may export their data during the term of their agreement.

 

Following termination, Bludot will make Customer Data available for electronic retrieval for thirty days, consistent with Bludot’s Terms and Conditions.

 

After that thirty-day period, Bludot may disable the customer workspace and delete the workspace and associated data, unless a longer retention period is required by law or agreed to in writing.

 

9. Privacy requests

 

Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other action regarding their personal information.

 

Because much of the data in Bludot is controlled by our customers, Bludot may direct requests related to customer-controlled data to the applicable customer. Bludot will support customers as needed to respond to requests involving data maintained in the Bludot platform, subject to applicable law and contractual obligations.

 

10. Support and communications

 

Customers may contact Bludot for support by emailing their account manager or contacting support@bludot.io.

 

Bludot may use customer contact information to provide service-related communications, support updates, onboarding communications, account notices, and other communications related to the customer’s use of the services.

 

11. Changes to this policy

 

Bludot may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make updates, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
